PROFESSIONAL INTERN SCHOLARSHIP POSITIONS WILL BE AVAILABLE IN FLAGSTAFF, PHOENIX AND TUCSON SPRING 2025
EARN $3500 WORKING PROFESSIONAL LEVEL POSITIONS
In 1996, Leonard Halpenny, pioneer Arizona hydrologist, declared that he wanted to help students get that all-important first job. Leonard related how difficult it was in his student days when he couldn't get his first job without having experience, and couldn't get experience without getting that first job. Leonard put his words into action by starting the first AHS Internship, and today all three AHS Chapters - Phoenix, Tucson, and Flagstaff - offer a summer professional intern program to help students get that critical "first" professional work experience. Students are awarded a $3,500 scholarship and work in a combination of agencies and consulting firms to gain a perspective of the working hydrology world. Information and applications are below for the Phoenix, Tucson, and Flagstaff intern scholarships offered over the summer months.
